The V8 produces 599 HP and is supplemented by electric motors on the front and rear axles for a total system output of 875 HP and 944 lb.-ft of torque. The engine drives the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transaxle and an electro-mechanical limited-slip differential. The 918 incorporates Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+), rear axle steering, and a regenerative braking system with cross-drilled carbon ceramic rotors.
