Porsche unveiled the ultimate track-oriented RS iteration of the 991 GT3 at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, featuring new lightweight bodywork and aggressive aerodynamics along with rear-axle steering, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+), and a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine producing 500 HP. This 2016 example comes finished in Ultraviolet over a Black and GT Silver leather & Alcantara interior. It was generously optioned with several additional Alacnatara trim pieces, Sound Package Plus, Sport Chrono Package, front axle lift system, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation, wheels painted silver, an extended range fuel tank, and much more.
This example was ordered in the striking non-metallic shade of Ultraviolet, a new launch color for the 2016 GT3 RS. Compared to the standard 991 GT3, the RS version features a lightweight magnesium roof panel, a large fixed rear wing, and wider fenders with louvered front vents and Turbo-style side air intakes. Optional details include painted headlight cleaning system covers, lower SportDesign mirror trim in High Gloss Black, 20”/21” GT3 RS wheels painted in Silver, yellow ceramic brakes, and LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS).
The driver-focused cabin presents Black leather and Alcantara upholstery accented by GT Silver deviated stitching and carbon fiber trim. The optional extended interior package adds additional leather and Alcantara along the door panels. Other options include seat belts in Racing Yellow, a Porsche-crested storage compartment lid in Alcantara, sun visors in Alcantara, illuminated door sill guards in carbon fiber, belt outlet trim in Alcantara, the Light Design Package, Sound Package Plus, the Sport Chrono Package, and a fire extinguisher. Additional amenities consist of Porsche Communication Management including a navigation module, Online Services, a telephone module, SiriusXM Satellite Radio & HD Radio Receiver, floor mats, auto-dimming mirrors with integrated rain sensors, and a fuel cap with an aluminum-look finish.
