Description
The LaFerrari’s bodywork was designed in-house at Centro Stile Ferrari under the direction of Flavio Manzoni who was also responsible for designing the F12, FXX-K, Roma, 812, and Monza SP1/SP2. The striking bodywork is laid over a carbon-fiber monocoque structure designed by Ferrari’s F1 technical director Rory Byrne, which provides 27% more torsional rigidity and 22% more beam stiffness than its predecessor, the Enzo. The F1-inspired aerodynamics include an adjustable rear spoiler, dynamic flaps at the rear diffuser, and another pair of moving flaps at the front underbody. Other features include heavily sculpted side air intakes, a vented hood, Scuderia fender shields, butterfly doors, and aerodynamic mirrors mounted on carbon-fiber stalks. This example is finished in the Extracampionario (non-standard) color of Blue Elettrico and rides on 19”/20” 5-spoke forged aluminum center-lock wheels in dark silver.
Inside, the driver and passenger are situated in racing seats mounted directly to the exposed carbon-fiber tub, while the pedal box and steering wheel are adjustable to suit the driver. The seats are trimmed in Crema leather along with the lower dashboard and door handles. The upper dashboard is trimmed in black Alcantara in addition to the center console storage lid, upper door panels, headliner, and flat-bottomed steering wheel which includes LED rev counter lights, shift paddles, a red ignition button, and the Manettino drive mode selector. The driver is supplied with a 12.3" TFT display, dual-zone climate control, a 4-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system, Bluetooth streaming, and cruise control.
