Description
The 8C Competizione was introduced at the 2006 Paris Motor Show and revived the 8C name originally used for Alfa Romeo’s eight-cylinder racing cars of the 1930s. Styling cues from the company’s post-war sporting cars can be seen in the carbon-fiber body panels, which are supported by a steel space frame. Of the 500 Competizione examples built, approximately 90 were designated for the US, marking the nameplate’s return to the market after a 13-year absence.
This example is finished in Rosso 8C Competizione (202/B) and features bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, and fender vents. Paint protection film was fitted by the factory.
The staggered-width 20” alloy wheels feature a cloverleaf-style design and are mounted with 245/35 front and 285/35 rear Pirelli P Zero tires showing 2008 date codes. Stopping power is provided by aluminum-look Alfa Romeo-branded Brembo calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.
The cockpit features carbon-fiber seats trimmed in Rosso Alfa leather with Poltrona Frau basketweave accents. Matching upholstery extends to the door panels, and the dashboard and center console feature brushed aluminum and carbon-fiber trim. Additional equipment includes dual-zone climate control, a navigation system, a black leather headliner, and a Bose Premium GT sound system with an iPod connection.
